Shogun X is one of the most popular characters in Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 1. Not only is he a boss who is very tough to beat, but his skin has also come to the Item Shop. The boss drops valuable loot, and next time you ready up for a match, you may want to visit him and take it for yourself.
In this guide, we will explain where to find Shogun X in the current Fortnite season. The boss spawns in every single match, but taking him down can be quite a challenge.
Shogun X location in Fortnite
To find Shogun X at the very start of the match, you will have to get lucky. The boss spawns in a random location and roams around the map in the first few minutes. However, his spawn is guaranteed at Shogun’s Arena, which spawns after the fourth circle. The arena spawns through the rift, approximately 12 minutes into every match, in a random spot in the safe zone.

Shogun’s Arena is essentially a new floating island that is exclusive to the current Fortnite season. Once you see it, you will need to head over to it and use one of the Air Sprites to reach it. As soon as you land on one of the islands, you will spot Shogun X, who will not attack you right away. However, if you attack the boss or get too close to him, he will become hostile.
How to beat Shogun X
The boss has different HP depending on the playlist that you play and is arguably the hardest to beat in the Solo mode. He has several attacks, including demon rush and molten eruptions, which will constantly keep you on your feet. Due to this, you need to constantly move and avoid his attacks.
The easiest way to defeat Shogun X in Fortnite is to simply keep moving from one floating island to anotehr while shooting him with your assault rifle. This weapon is perfect for mid-range combat and can easily shred the boss’ HP. While fighting him, you also need to keep an eye on enemies, since many other players to try to eliminate the boss and get his loot.

Once you defeat Shogun X on his island, he will drop his Mythic Fire Oni Mask, Typhoon Blade, and his Medallion that grants you infinite stamina and cloaking. Interestingly, if you defeat the boss while roaming, he will drop an Enhanced version of one of the seven different weapons, including the Fury Assault Rifle and the Oni Shotgun.
