The upcoming Fortnite live event will bring free Kicks (shoes) that you can unlock. Daft Punk will take the stage on Saturday afternoon, performing several hits in the in-game world. If you get online for the concert, you may Get Lucky and score a pair of new Kicks!
This guide will explain everything you need to do to get the free item in Fortnite. While the shoes have unlimited quantities, you won’t be able to get them for free after Saturday. In other words, while the quantity is unlimited, the time you have to claim them is not.
How to unlock free shoes in Fortnite?
Kicks were first introduced in Fortnite Remix season, and although controversial at first, they’ve become very popular in 2025. Most of them cost between 600 and 1000 V-Bucks, which is quite expensive. Fortunately, you can unlock a pair of shoes for free on Saturday during the Fortnite live event.
The reward for attending the event is the Waveform Walker Kicks. They are reactive to music, which makes them a perfect reward for the upcoming Daft Punk experience. To unlock them, all you need to do is attend the live event between 2 PM and 3 PM Eastern Time.
You will be able to queue up for the event playlist at 1:30 PM ET, 30 minutes before the concert begins. Considering how popular events get in Fortnite, you should definitely get online at this time and get straight into the match. If you don’t like playing alone, you’ll be able to watch the event with your squad.
