Choosing the best landing spot in Fortnite can be quite tricky. If you’re looking to survive for as long as possible, then quiet spots are certainly for you. However, to get the best loadout right away, you’ll have to pick a hot zone. This also means that you need to be ready for action from the moment you land on the island. In this article, we will list the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. We will take a look at all the advantages these spots offer, so you can choose which one is the best for you.

What are the best landing spots in Fortnite?

The best landing spots in Chapter 5 Season 4 of Fortnite are:

  • The Raft
  • Castle Doom
  • Doomstadt
  • Sandy Steppes
  • Mount Olympus

The Raft

The Raft has everything you need to start a Fortnite match with a perfect loadout. By eliminating Emma Frost, you will get a new Medallion that will periodically reveal your enemies. The boss also drops the Mythic Striker Burst AR, which is one of the best weapons in the game. On top of this, the maximum security prison has over 70 chest spawns, including Dr. Doom and Avengers Chests.

Considering all of these advantages, it’s no surprise that The Raft is a hot drop in every single game. However, landing there is definitely worth it, as picking up Mythic loot early in the match will drastically increase your chances of winning.

Castle Doom

Similarly to The Raft, Castle Doom has another Mythic boss and a Medallion. Eliminating Doombot will grant you the Siphon Medallion, as well as Mythic Arcane Gauntlets. You’ll also be able to pick up the Mythic Monarch Pistol, which is a decent weapon for medium combat.

Besides the boss, Castle Doom has approximately 70 chests, including five Dr. Doom and four Avengers Chests. If this isn’t enough to put the new Fortnite location as one of the best landing spots, it’s also close to Doom’s Courtyard, another great spot with a lot of loot.

Doomstadt

The third and final Mythic boss, Mysterio, can be found at Doomstadt. This is another new location added in Chapter 5 Season 4, so it’s no surprise that it has plenty of loot. If you’re a fan of shotguns, you should definitely engage the boss in combat, as he drops the Mythic Sovereign Shotgun. Mysterio also drops a Medallion that grants invisibility, although this may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Similar to other landing spots on the list, Doomstadt has a variety of chests, and you can also find a bunker just east of it. Its proximity to Rebel’s Roost and The Underworld is another reason why you should pick it as your landing spot in the next Fortnite match.

Sandy Steppes

Despite not being popular, Sandy Steppes is still a great landing spot. Image by VideoGamer

With the release of the new Marvel season, Sandy Steppes is no longer a popular landing spot. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s not good. In fact, the once-popular location still has plenty of loot and is great for getting a great loadout early in the game. If you like Marvel-themed items, Sandy Steppes has five Avengers Chests, so you won’t miss out on them.

The mix of the loot abundance and the quiet is a reason why we chose to include Sandy Steppes as one of the best landing spots in Fortnite. Not only will you be able to fill your loadout with great items after landing there, but you also won’t be interrupted by other players, who are mostly landing at new locations.

Mount Olympus

Back in Chapter 5 Season 2, Mount Olympus was arguably the most popular spot in Fortnite. It contained a lot of loot and was a perfect location for a Greek Mythology-themed season. Despite no longer having a seasonal theme, many things have remained the same about this location. It still has a lot of loot, and you’re almost guaranteed to find new weapons and a great loadout when you land there.

Not only does Mount Olympus have around 40 chests, but it also has two bunkers nearby. Furthermore, you can use one of the Launch Pads on the hill to get safely to the zone. If you need even more loot, you can quickly rotate to Brawler’s Battleground, as well as Redline Rig. All of these locations have plenty of chests, making Olympus one of the best landing spots in Season 4.
