FM24 – How to register players in Football Manager 2024

How to register players in FM24

Registering new players in FM24 is fairly straightforward, and won’t take much time at all. Once in-game, click the Squad tab on the left-hand menu. From here, select the ‘Overview’ drop-down menu, and click ‘Registration’ to open up the FM24 registration menu. From here, you can register and unregister your players.

At the top of this menu, you’ll see a list of the squad registration rules for your particular league. For example, the Bundesliga requires a minimum of 15 registered players, 12 German players, and 4 players trained by your club.

Some leagues have almost no registration rules while other leagues will have plenty. Do some research before you start a save so you don’t get stuck with some nasty rules to deal with.

On the bottom half of the menu is a list of all your players. Using the ‘Filter’ menu, you can select who is shown on the menu, sorted by squad, position, and more. To register a player, simply click the tick to the left of their name, and to unregister them, click the cross.

Be careful not to go over the squad registration limits, as this could force you to unregister certain players, which can cause them and your squad to become unhappy. If you’re making transfers, checking if you have the ability to register your players beforehand is a key part of squad building – nobody wants to buy some of the best talents in football just to not be able to register them.
