FUT Season 9 has begun in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. It is end-game season now in FIFA 23 as the highest-rated players in the game are being released. As yet another cycle of Ultimate Team comes to an end, there will still be plenty to play for.
The new season in FUT 23 looks is a short one as we approach the EA Sports FC 24 release date. Just like in years gone by, a ‘pre-season’ themed season has taken over. This should provide players with an opportunity to get a head start when FC 24 Ultimate Team kicks off.

When does FUT Season 9 end
FUT Season 9 began on Thursday, August 31 and will end on Thursday, 21 September. The new season took over from FUT Season 8 at 3am ET / 8am BST, just like all the previous seasons throughout the FIFA 23 cycle.
This is the final season in FIFA 23, and will run for just three weeks, taking us to the start of early access in FC 24. The theme of the season is Pre-Season, so keep an eye out for boosts for the upcoming game.
What promos will be in FUT Season 9?
To begin with, the FIFA 23 FUTTIES campaign should still be taking place until September 1. After that, the re-released players could be removed from packs completely. As mentioned already, new player items may not be the focus of the new season.
If an FC 24 Pre-Season is to take place, expect any promo thereafter to offer rewards for the upcoming game. In previous years, we have seen packs, loan players, chemistry styles, and a variety of consumables made available to earn for the new season.
Alternatively, EA could go for a grand finale for the FIFA franchise. As FC 24 will offer “Founder” status to those who play the game next season, we could see the game started with a completely clean slate. While unlikely, this is not outside the realms of possibility.

Each level is 1,000 XP higher than the next. To complete the full set of objectives you will need 30,000 XP. EA Play subscribers will receive a 3,500 XP boost when they log in to the new season.
