The FIFA 23 Ultimate Team cycle is coming to a close, with the Pre-Season promo bringing down the curtain on another campaign. It provides you with an opportunity to acquire some of the best cards released in FUT 23, while also preparing you for FUT 24!
With the EA Sports FC 24 release date drawing closer, the Pre-Season campaign will allow you to earn rewards for your new Ultimate Team push. Find out everything you need to know about the Pre-Season promo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team below.
FIFA 23 Pre-Season release date
The Pre-Season release date in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team was September 1. This will be the final promotion of FIFA, and it went live at the usual time of 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
FUTTIES Team 6 and the ‘Best Of’ Batch 3 items rotated out of packs at the same time. A second Pre-Season Re-release player batch was added to packs on September 8 and will stay live for two weeks.
FIFA 23 Pre-Season promo
The FIFA 23 Pre-Season promo will be similar to previous Pre-Season events going back to FIFA 20. If you complete Objectives and Squad Building Challenges, you can earn rewards not just for the current game, but for the next installment too! This enables you to begin preparing for your EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team campaign, ensuring you kick off your season with a bang! These special rewards will significantly boost your starting squad for the new title of EA FC.
As the official confirmation message from EA read: “Welcome to Pre-Season, offering various opportunities to get you ready for next year’s Ultimate Team! Throughout Pre-Season, players will have the opportunity to earn rewards in next year’s Ultimate Team by completing Objectives and SBCs in the year’s Ultimate Team – including Packs, Consumables and Player Loan Items.”
Previously, pre-season rewards for the upcoming game have included a coin boost, player packs, loan players, chemistry styles, and other consumables. In FUT 22 we gained ‘Kick Starter Packs’ for FUT 23. These included nine rare gold players packs from specific countries.
More boosted players will be on offer through Objectives and SBCs too. We expect loads of Player Moments items and anticipate some Showdown SBCs to celebrate the new season.
Then there will be the Pre-Season Re-releases in packs. We’ve already seen these ‘Best Of’ Batches during the FUTTIES campaign in FIFA 23, so we know what to expect here. The best players from previous promos will be available once again, helping you finish your season with an insane squad!
Carryover Rewards
EA will make Carryover Rewards available during the three weeks of Pre-Season in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. These are rewards from Objectives and SBCs that you will gain in FC 24 Ultimate Team. The Objectives, SBCs, and rewards are as follows:

- 3 Rare Gold Ligue 1 Players Pack
