The first promo of the New Year has been released in FUT 24, with EA looking back to FIFA 22 for inspiration! It’s time for the FC Versus Fire and Ice event in FC 24 Ultimate Team.
Will EA do exactly as they did previously, or will they have some surprises in store? Find out everything you need to know about the FC Versus Fire and Ice promo in FC 24 Ultimate Team below.
FC 24 Versus Fire and Ice all cards
With two cards coming for each player included, there are plenty of promo items in packs for you to gain at the moment!

FC 24 Versus release date
The FC Versus release date in FC 24 Ultimate Team was January 5.
Both Versus Fire and Versus Ice cards came to packs at the same time, unlike what happened in FIFA 22. A Mini-Release of Team 1 players dropped on January 6.
Team 2 of the promo was released on January 12. Another Mini-Release is came on January 13.
The new loading screen says Team 2 will remain in packs for four days only, until January 16.
FC Versus start time
The FC Versus start time was 1pm ET / 6pm GMT. EA added the new cards to packs at this usual time, as with most other promos.
Additional FC Versus items will be released via SBCs throughout the campaign.
FC 24 Versus Fire and Ice
We didn’t see it return last year, but EA has decided to reintroduce the Versus promo in FC 24 Ultimate Team. Interestingly, it doesn’t follow the exact same mechanics as FIFA 22, which has definitely improved upon the event.
Once again, FC Versus players have two versions, a Versus Fire and a Versus Ice item. Each has unique, permanent upgrades, with contrasting playing styles.
This could mean that a Versus Fire player has highly increased pace and shooting stats, whereas their Versus Ice version will have better dribbling and passing boosts. That way, you can bring in the version that better suits your style.
Previously, the selected player retained the same rating and position for both their Fire and Ice versions, with just their attributes altered. However, this time there are more differences between the items.
Most have different base positions and alternate positions from each other, as well as different PlayStyles, Skill Move and Weak Foot upgrades. Also, Fire versions provide additional chemistry to those of the same nation, whereas Ice versions provide additional club chemistry.
