Epic Games is one of the most popular publishers in the video gaming industry. Thanks to the success of Fortnite, the company has launched a few other big projects. Before the battle royale game, Epic was known for Unreal Engine, but it has a lot more fantastic products now.

Earlier this year, the company launched Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN), allowing talented players to use various tools to create mind-blowing maps. These maps can be monetized, and some players have already made millions from them.

Unfortunately, many Fortnite players do not have enough time or resources to spend on UEFN maps. That is why Epic Games is granting up to $500,000 per project, and almost anyone can apply.

How to get money from Epic Games

Shortly after launching UEFN, Epic Games kicked off MegaGrants. This is a new program intended to financially support talented creators who need additional resources to create UEFN maps. Average grants range from $5,000 to $250,000, although Epic grants up to $500,000 for extraordinary projects.

If you want to apply, you need to have a project ready. This can be anything related to Unreal Engine, whether it’s a new video game or a UEFN map. However, it’s important to note that the maps made with Creative 1.0 are not eligible for MegaGrants.

With your project ready, you need to open the official website of MegaGrants and apply. This is the most important step of your application process, as you will need to send all of your project details to Epic Games.

You will also have to provide a funding range for your project, from $5,000 to $500,000. In addition, you’ll have to explain what you will use this funding for. You can use it to hire other developers, purchase equipment, and more. The more details you provide, the higher your chance of getting the grant is.
