College Football 25 is finally here, and as many would expect, it has plenty of online modes to play online, whether that’s with friends or complete strangers. But what if you’re playing on Xbox and your friend has a PS5? Can you play against each other?

Does College Football 25 have crossplay?

Fortunately, the answer is yes. College Football 25 has full crossplay support between Xbox and PlayStation, though it should be said that this is limited to a select few game modes. College Football Ultimate Team, Road to the College Football Playoff and Play a Friend (shocker) all have crossplay support, so you can play online to your heart’s content.

On the flip side, this does mean that while you can play the game’s hugely popular Dynasty mode online with players on the same console as you, PlayStation players won’t be able to play with Xbox players and vice-versa.

This is pretty disappointing, as Dynasty is one of the most popular modes in the game, and not being able to play with friends on a different console feels like EA have missed a trick. That being said, it isn’t out of the question that it could be added to the game further down the line.

Does College Football 25 have cross progression?

Unfortunately, while you can play against players on other consoles, there is no cross progression for College Football 25. That means that if you had a copy of College Football 25 for PS5 and bought a second copy for Xbox, your progress on your first copy would not transfer over, forcing you to start over from scratch.
