Levelling up fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2 will help you become overpowerd quickly, alongside easing you through the most difficult sections of the game.

Perhaps the most quintessential mechanic in all RPGs, levelling up is the clearest and easiest way to progress through Vermund. In Dragon’s Dogma 2 you will earn XP by defeating enemies and completing quests, but what’s the fastest way to do it?

How to level up fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2’s levelling mechanics function slightly different to other RPGs. You have a base level stat that is increased through completing quests and fighting, while your Vocation level is only increased through combat. his means you have to focus your XP grinding on a particular vocation in order to level it up.

How to level up your main level

You can use a combination of quests and combat to earn experience points that go towards your main level. As we’ve suggested in our Dragon’s Dogma 2 tips guide, we’d recommend that you explore vehemently. You will encounter tough enemies and fun side-quests while you travel through Vermund, which is the fastest way to level up your Arisen.

  • Complete every side quest
  • Complete every main mission
  • Fight every enemy you can, then fight them again

The good thing about trying to level up in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is that it never really feels like you’re grinding. There’s so many quests, each designed entirely differently, while all of the enemies and locations are varied enough that it never feels like a slog.

There is an extremely cheeky way to earn XP really fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you get rid of all the pawns accompanying your party, either by dismissing them with Riftstones or throwing them into the nearest lake, you’re going to see a 20% boost in XP. This will make the game a lot harder than normal, and you’re going to need to fight carefully. The biggest benefit aside from levelling up faster is that you won’t have their annoying barks in your ear anymore.

How to level up your Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

The only way you can level up all Vocations is through combat. Fighting low-level enemies while you’re exploring is a sure-fire way to rack up experience points, though fighting Boss enemies, Ogres, Trolls and other large beasts, you’re going to earn much more XP points to level up quickly.

Put on your explorer cap to level up in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Grinding isn’t necessarily the fastest way to level up, nor is it fun. As you wade through the game’s maps and environments, you’re going to find hidden enemy camps, valuable treasures tucked away in chests, and new pawns and NPCs to join you in your adventure. If you’re trying to earn money fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2, this is a good technique to speed things up.

What monsters give the most XP in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Monsters that have purple health bars will give you plenty of XP. These are essentially boss battles in-game, and they will help you earn experience points in the thousands. You can find these in the most begotten areas of the map. Ogres are found near forgotten settlements, while you will find Trolls near lakes and streams. On top of that, areas such as Battahl are packed full of high-level enemies and pseudo-bosses that you can farm XP in to level up quick.
