With the release date of Diablo 4 Season 3 near, it’s a great time to get back into the Hellish world of Sanctuary from Blizzard. There are tons of new mechanics coming to the Seasonal Realm, from the new Seneschal Companion to leaderboards finally being added. Vaults are being added to the mix. What are Vault Dungeons? We’re here to explain.

What are Vaults in Diablo 4 Season 3?

Vaults are new dungeons being added during the Season of the Construct in Diablo 4. These new dungeons are filled with constructs, the new enemy family in Season 3.

Each Vault has an elemental Hazard you need to watch out for, and the constructs within them use the same element to attack. There are several different types of constructs players can encounter in the Vaults, each with their own abilities.

Diablo 4 Season 3 Vaults explained

You can enter any Vault by converting the required Pearls of Warding. Once inside, you’ll be blessed by Zoltun’s Warding, which grants players incredible riches if they manage to stay alive. However, each time you die the blessing will get weaker. You can use any extra Pearls of Warding you have at a Vault entrance to exchange them for more stacks of Zoltun’s Warding.

If you manage to keep Zoltun’s Warding on you throughout the entire Vault, you’ll be rewarded with a special chest called a Wardwoven Chest, which has a higher chance of containing Legendaries.

Once you reach World Tier 3: Nightmare, you can unlock Nightmare Vaults, similar to Nightmare Dungeons. These are harder Vaults, but they come with better rewards. Nightmare Vaults will drop Vault Sigils, which work similarly to Nightmare Sigils.

The same but different

Similar to Nightmare Dungeons, Nightmare Vaults will contain higher leveled enemies and better loot. You can increase the World Tier to Torment to get even better drops from the Vault boss.

That’s everything you need to know about the new Vault dungeons in Diablo 4 Season 3. Be sure to check out how to find the Malignant Burrow and our Nightmare Dungeon tier list for Diablo 4.
