- You have to upgrade your character’s Bloodweb to at least Prestige 4 to start getting the Bloody Clothes cosmetics.
- This cosmetic comes in three pieces, obtained on prestige levels 4, 5, and 6.
Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetric survival horror game is full of items to help Survivors escape, powers to help Killers hunt and sacrifice, and cosmetics to keep everyone looking their best in spite of the gore-fest. Bloody clothes are among the most popular free-to-get cosmetics in Dead by Daylight. But how exactly do you pick them up? We’ll answer that here.
How to get the bloody clothes cosmetic in Dead by Daylight
To get Bloody Clothes for a Survivor or a Killer, you’ll need to Prestige their Bloodweb up to six times. For those not familiar with the Dead by Daylight’s Prestige system, this is basically the process of upgrading a specific character’s personal upgrade tree – The Bloodweb – to its maximum level.
At level 50, a Bloodweb can be reset, reverting it to level 1 but giving the Bloodweb one Prestige level in the process. This is a great way to pick up new weapons, items, perks, and more, though costs substantial quantities of Bloodpoints – DBD’s main character progression currency.
To get Bloody Clothes cosmetics, players will need to repeat this Prestige process three times on the same Bloodweb. However, as the cosmetics are unlocked at Prestige 4, 5, and 6, if you’ve never levelled up a Bloodweb to Prestige before, you’ll need to do this up to six times to get all the cosmetics.
Keep in mind too that each Survivor and Killer has their own Bloodweb, so you’ll get the bloody clothes cosmetics only for the particular character you’re levelling up.
What are the bloody clothes?
Bloody clothes are a rather sought-after cosmetic skin, unlockable for various Survivors and Killers in the game. Since they’re rewarded for sufficient Prestige progress in levelling up particular characters, they’re often a mark of experience and dedication in-game. They come in three parts like most cosmetic sets: Head/Mask, Body, and Legs.
Once you’ve picked up the bloody clothes cosmetic from a character’s Bloodweb, you can then equip them through the outfit section in the character menu. The cosmetics tend to follow a similar pattern of the base outfit overlaid with blood. This means a blood-stained shirt for Survivors like Dwight Fairfield, or crimson-spattered overalls for Killers like the Trapper.
