Where to find Moray Eel in Dave the Diver

Moray Eel spawns in the Blue Hole Shallows between 0 and 50 metres in the evening. You’ll also spot them during the day time, popping out of caves to damage Dave, but unfortunately you can’t catch them during the day. You’ll unlock night diving once Otto spawns at the restaurant during Chapter 2 Into the Deep. To get him to show up, you’ll need to wrap up the series of Duff’s Pink Delivery quests and take on the Giant Squid boss.

Moray Eel tends to linger near the water’s surface in open spaces between coral and rock formations. They are a fairly large and long snake-like nocturnal fish with a dark grey colour. Each eel is marked by a light blue tilted square during the A Noisy Customer to help you track them down. We recommend using a gun, ideally a sniper rifle or any other upgraded weapon, to weaken the eel, then finish it off with the harpoon as you would any other fish. They do deal a lot of damage so dodge their attacks as best you can.

Once you’ve caught a few moray eel and unlocked the fish farm, there’s a chance of gathering up moray eel roe. These will then turn into full grown eel in the fish farm that will, over time, breed and turn into a steady source of moray eel. Simply make sure, you always have a least two moray eel in a tank otherwise they won’t reproduce.

How to serve Moray Curry in Dave the Diver

Once you’ve caught Moray Eel, head back to the sushi restaurant, enter the Recipe Research menu, and research Moray Eel Curry. Along with the eel, you’ll need Turmeric, which is found in alongside other ingredients in cooking pots throughout the Blue Hole.

You can also assign employees to find spices for you, including Turmeric. Add Moray Eel Curry to your menu for the night’s service and serve it to Otto. Doing so completes the A Noisy Customer quest and unlocks the Fish Farm where you can breed various species of fish.
