How to see FPS in CS2

To see FPS in CS2, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. Press your keyboard’s “~” key to open the in-game console.
  2. In the window that pops up, type in cl_showfps 1.
  3. Text tracking your FPS will then appear on the top left side of your screen.

Alternatively, you can also make use of Steam’s integrated FPS counter by following these steps instead:

  1. While in-game, open the Steam overlay by pressing Shift+Tab.
  2. Click on the Settings button (Gear icon) found at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the “In Game” category from the left-side menu in the window that pops up.
  4. Look for the In-Game FPS counter option from the list.
  5. Click the drop-down menu and select the screen position where you want your FPS to appear.
  6. Your FPS will then pop up based on the position you chose.
