There’s nothing more satisfying than having a positive K/D ratio in a multiplayer first person shooter like Call of Duty. Just like how people strive to better their K/D when playing CoD on consoles or PC, the same applies to the portable version, CoD Mobile.

However, the game doesn’t make it clear how you’re supposed to check your K/D in CoD Mobile, despite the fact that players, especially those who are competitive, care a lot about it.

Because of this, we’re here to tell you how to check K/D as well as explain in detail what exactly K/D is in CoD Mobile.

What Does K/D Mean

K/D is one of the most important statistics in any first person shooter, whether it be on console, PC, or on mobile. It stands for Kill/Death ratio and shows you how many times you’ve died in the game vs how many kills you have gotten in matches.

Some games only count the K/D ratio for ranked games and not unranked/casual ones, which makes sense, as players might not try as hard as they would in a ranked game since nothing’s on the line.

Many players, especially competitive ones, use the K/D ratio of someone to gauge their skill level, whether that someone is a teammate, someone from the enemy team, or even someone who just so happened to be in the same lobby.

How to Check K/D in CoD Mobile

Luckily, checking K/D in CoD Mobile is fairly straightforward. All you have to do is

  1. Launch the CoD Mobile app and log in to your account.
  2. At the main menu, look for your name towards the top left of the screen and tap on it.
  3. You’ll see multiple tabs you can open. Look for ‘Basic’ and tap on it to get detailed statistics.
  4. Here, your statistics will be divided by game modes, and you’ll be able to see your K/D after tapping on one of those game modes.

If your K/D is over 1, then it’s usually considered to be good, as that would mean you’ve gotten more kills than deaths in your matches. However, sometimes players create smurf accounts to ensure their K/D is even higher, like 3.

Basically, this is how it goes.

K/D RatioGeneral Consensus
Less than 0.8Considered to be bad at the game
0.8-1.2Considered to be average at the game
1.21-3Considered to be good at the game
3 and aboveIf you have this K/D ratio, you’re a professional at this game

Final Thoughts

Although many players care about their K/D, we say you should just ignore it and focus on enjoying the game while slowly improving. This is because when you start out, chances are your K/D will take a hit.

Because it’ll be below average from the start, getting it up to 3 or more will be borderline impossible unless you’re either REALLY good at the game, or you create a smurf account and play well from the start.
