While in Chapter 2, you will have an area you can visit that is entirely optional. Visiting the area will award players with the ability to fight more optional bosses, find more NPCs, and collect items. One of the things that players can find along the Fright Cliffs area are the Buddha Eyeballs, a collection of key items with an obscure meaning. Collect them all and you can activate a special boss. Here is a closer look at how to get all of Buddha’s Eyeballs in Black Myth Wukong and where to use them.

In total, there are six eyes you need to collect. They are scattered around the entire area, mainly around the Flats and the Squall. Both of these Wayshrines are fairly close by with sand hills and a cave system bridging the two shrines together.

Buddha’s Eyeballs 1

Teleport to the Rock Crash shrine in Fright Cliffs near where you defeated the Stone Vanguard. Go to the stood-up shrine gate in the distance and enter the area. As you enter the gate, you should find a Buddha eyeball on your right.

Go through the cave system, then stick left and follow the path down the hill. You’ll find a gate that brings you to a new area. You will find a trail that brings you to the Wayshrine for the Squall area. Slightly further down the hill is the Buddha statue.

Go back into the cave system and head for the lower part. Walk up the hill from the shrine then enter the lower part of the cave. At the back is an altar with a Buddha face statue.

Once again, you need to move up the cave system. Walk through the cave and to your left you’ll find a slope that leads you up. At the top of the cave is a Mother of Stone boss. To the right of the Stone of Mother boss is an exit. This leads to a platform you can walk on with a Buddha statue.

From the Squall Shrine, move towards the cliff with the monument. Along the path and opposite the cliff face monument is a Buddha.

Climb the scaffolding at the cliffside monument. Go further down the hill, and cross over where you can get over the ravine near the cliff face. From there, you should see scaffolding running up the cliff face. Head up, avoiding all the ranged enemies and guards, to find the final Buddha eyeball.

Where to use the Buddha Eyeballs

To use all six Buddha’s Eyeballs, return to the Rock Crash Site Wayshrine. In the arena where you battled the Stone Vanguard, keep to the right as if you’re walking back to the Flats and the Squall. On the right side of the arena, you should see a large boulder. The boulder is decorated with faces of Buddha.

Interacting with the boulder will use all six Buddha Eyeballs. This will awaken a secret boss called the Shigandang. This is an even tougher boss than Stone Vanguard. Its main attacks are very slow, with large pounding fists slamming the floor. It can also jump and crash down onto you. Another move you need to watch out for is the shockwave skill. It will blast shockwaves outward around the arena, which you need to dodge or jump over.

Once you beat the boss, you’ll receive the Skandha of Felling and the Heart of Stone. The Heart of Stone unlocks a new weapon crafting pathway, offering fairly strong damage for the end of Chapter 2 and the start of Chapter 3.
