Can you revive the dogs in Durinbold Mausoleum in Baldur’s Gate 3? These hounds met their fate and are resting in sarcophagi in the mausoleum along with the corpse of their master Pol. Many are sure to want to save these poor pups.

There are plenty of secrets in Baldur’s Gate 3 with some of them resting in the graveyard of the city. So can you revive the dogs in Durinbold Mausoleum in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Unfortunately, you cannot revive the dogs in the Durinbold Mausoleum in Baldur’s Gate 3. While it would be nice to see them up and moving again, you simply cannot.

The Durinbold Mausoleum is in the northern part of Baldur’s Gate. You can reach this area by traveling to the Lower City Central Wall waypoint and going northeast to the graveyard. From there, you can enter the Mausoleum which is near the Mortuary.

When you enter the mausoleum, you can interact with the sarcophagi. Each sarcophagus requires a strength check of 15 to open. Inside each, you will find the corpses of the dogs as well as Houndmaster Pol.

As soon as you open one of the graves, you will get attacked by Rocky, Zina, Gordis, and Houndmaster Pol’s spirits. This wasn’t a difficult fight as we were able to defeat them with a single character. You can get some loot from the graves such as dog toys and speak with animal potions. You can also check the feet of the sarcophagus to get more info about the dogs.

This mausoleum is very straightforward and doesn’t have any puzzles or secret buttons. There is a hole that connects to the Grand Mausoleum that you can access if you are an animal or a small race. This will get you the Grand mausoleum waypoint.

Did you know?

There are multiple mausoleums in the graveyard that you can search. You can also access the morgue. Each mausoleum has different interactions and one even connects to the Grand Mausoleum.

Other mausoleums in the game have a secret painting puzzle and even hidden loot. We recommend searching every mausoleum as they can get you plenty of extra items. Nearby, you can find the Grand Mausoleum checkpoint, the Hhune Mausoleum, and the Mortuary. Earlier in the game, you can visit the Thorm Mausoleum and even complete the Gauntlet of Shar.

Is there any hidden loot in the Durinbold Mausoleum?

Nope. There is only loot in the vases and the sarcophagi. There also isn’t a secret door.

Can you speak with the dead dogs in the Durinbold Mausoleum?

No. Even with the speak with animals and speak with dead spells, you cannot talk to the dogs.
