He is looking for your reactions to his hits, and the blessing can fail if you do “too well” or can’t take the punishment. Nonetheless, succeeding in all three checks will grant you the Loviatar’s Love buff.

Astarion and Shadowheart will approve of this interaction and think you are having a grand old time while Karlach will disapprove. You will see the approval or disapproval appear after each one of Abdirak’s blows. Once you are done and have succeeded in the checks, you will get the Loviatar’s Love blessing.
