Wondering how to poison the Goblin camp in Baldur’s Gate 3? Outside of tacking three fearsome Goblin leaders, there’s plenty to do in one of the game’s major Act 1 segments.
While there are traditional methods to approach the Goblin Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3, poisoning the entire camp is an option. And don’t worry. It isn’t as windy a path as getting the Necromancy of Thay in Baldur’s Gate 3. The Goblin Camp is just ahead of the Blighted Village. Entering the camp itself can be done with Deception, Intimidation, and Persuasion checks. As for poisoning the camp, read on. Consider trading with the merchants before that, though.
Poisoning the Goblin Camp in BG3 explained
Add Poison to the Booze Tub in Baldur’s Gate 3 to poison the Goblin Camp. You’ll find plenty of goblins partying nearby so you have to employ stealth. Consider using a Potion of Invisibility. This is the easiest way to trigger an interaction at the Booze Tub. As for the poison, it can be crafted in the Alchemy menu or snatched from corpses. Even Basic Poison should do. There’s no harm in using the Wyvern Poison from Nettie at the Druid’s Grove either.
You can find the Booze Tub in the central outside area of the Goblin Camp. You can interact with it by clicking it. This allows you to add something to combine with the booze. Do it sneakily or you’ll be caught before goblins drink from the Booze Tub. While they might not be on guard, you’ll still have to be careful.
Provided you did it right, a cutscene will trigger. This will start a scene where you’ll be asked to make a toast alongside the Goblins. A Sleight of Hand check lets you pretend to drink the booze instead of succumbing to it. In a few moments, you’ll see goblins collapse after drinking their ale. Naturally, they’ll be triggered and will accuse you. Using a simple Deception check, Intimidation check, or Illithid Wisdom lets you escape the encounter unscathed without combat against reinforcements. This leaves you free to pursue the main storyline, free Volo, or get Loviatar’s Blessing in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where to get a Potion of Invisibility
Auntie Ethel at the Druid Grove (or Emerald Grove) and Roah Moonglow at the Shattered Sanctum sell Invisibility potions. So if you don’t have access to the spell, consider these potions. They’ll also help with future boss encounters like Dror Ragzlin, Minthara, and Priestess Gut. True Soul Gut will tempt you with an invitation to team up with the Absolute in her chambers.
If you do choose to fight though, destroy War Drums since they’re alarms that will call in nearby Goblins to investigate. It’s also a good idea to use sneak attacks with Astarion to thin the goblin side out. This might make freeing the Owlbear cub in Baldur’s Gate 3 tougher though.
That covers how to poison the Goblin Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3. Use this trick to make short work of the goblins before your journey into the Shattered Sanctum. Here’s where you can rescue Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3. You’ll spot the fearsome Druid in his bear form in the dungeons. He’s an essential part of continuing Baldur’s Gate 3 Acts. Now that you know how to disable the camp, get to it right away. Larian Studios’ Dungeons & Dragons adventure is set in the Forgotten Realms. Players on PC and PS5 can dive in right away but there’s no Xbox Series X|S release date yet.
