You can tame a Direhorse during The Wandering Clan mission at the Grazing Grounds beneath the Celebration Arches in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Slowly walk towards the Direhorse and raise your arms via the button prompt to tame a Direhorse. This is a level 7 quest so you’ll have to progress quite a bit in the main story arc to get here. It’s initially inaccessible via ikran, meaning that you can’t waltz into this region early on.
