Downsize Surprise is one of the most unique levels in Astro Bot, for the sole reason that you can shrink down to the size of a mouse and balloon back up to Astro’s full size at the press of a button. While fun, it does mean Team Asobi has gone to town on concealing all the collectibles in little nooks and crannies throughout the level.

Bot 1
After starting the level and grabbing the mouse shrink ability, climb to the first level above. Look right and you’ll see the bot in a cage hanging from the tree. Go small and use the mushrooms to reach the cage. Go big to break the cage then grab the bot.

Bot 2
Once you’ve picked up the mouse ability, head to the level above. Go left and you’ll see a stack of crates. Destroy them to reveal a gap in the wall. Go small and go through. Go big and break the wall ahead to reveal the bot.
Bot 3
Once you’re inside the bedroom, hop onto the bed, go small and get under the covers. Go big to reveal the bot.
Make sure to explore the room thoroughly as both Astro and the mouse, especially under the bed, inside the blue box, and on the shelf.
Bot 4
When you exit the bedroom through the vent, turn around and you’ll see the bot just by where you exited.
Bot 5 – Royal Roller
When you get to the tree climbing section after the bedroom, turn right before you reach the level above. Jump up to the branches and follow it to find a nest with the bot inside. You’ll need to go big to hit the bot.

Go big once you’re in the cage to free the bot. Captured by VideoGamer
Bot 6
After the tree climbing section, turn left, make sure you’re big, then laser the glass on the floor to create an air gust. Go small and ride it up. Approach the frog to startle it and it will start producing bubbles. Jump up just before a bubble forms and ride it up to the cage. Go big to free the bot.
Bot 7 – Intrepid Rodent
When you reach the clock near the top of the tower, go big and turn left. The bot is hanging from the side of the ledge. Hit it to save it.

Puzzle 1
Grab the mouse ability and climb to the level above. Go big and turn left. Use the jump laser to defeat the line of enemies circling the tree stump. Pull on the cord on the stump to reveal an opening. Go small and go through to find the puzzle piece.

Puzzle 2
Once you reach the bedroom. Hop down to ground level, and jump onto the blue and white flower pop then use spin to get launched upwards. Follow the path up to find an air vent with the puzzle piece inside.

Ride the large hand up to reach the puzzle piece. Captured by VideoGamer
Puzzle 3
The third piece is at the top of the clock. Ride the small hand on the clock to reach the puzzle piece or launch off the hand to jump to it.

Lost Galaxy portal
After the tree section, go left, break the glass on the floor, and ride the air current up. Ride one of the frog bubbles up past the cage and jump onto one of the branches. Hop to the disco ball and hit the switch on the tree to reveal the portal.
