Changing Basim’s appearance with Costumes in AC Mirage is easy. Assassin’s Creed Mirage features a fairly robust customisation system, letting you change the outfit Basim wears and give his sword and dagger the appearance of any chosen weapon.

While all of this is purely cosmetic, you can have some fun customising how you want Basim to look. You can do this through general Outfits you gather as you play the game or you can use Costumes. For those of you who are fashion-conscious, customising Basim’s appearance is a must.

As you play through the story, you will naturally unlock more Costumes for Basim. Costumes are a way to change your appearance in AC Mirage without having to change your currently-equipped Outfit. This is basically a way to transmog or glamour your Outfit.

If you want to change Basim’s appearance, you can equip a Costume in the main menu. Equipping a costume is purely cosmetic and more are unlocked as you play through the game or buy them from the Ubisoft Connect store for points. Most Costumes are unlocked in-game and once you’ve attained them you can use them as much as you like. There are 11 costumes to collect in total, giving you plenty of freedom.

The main idea behind this is to give Basim the appearance you want while you play. If you have a piece of armour you don’t like the look of, you can glamour over it with a Costume and say goodbye to your aesthetic woes. AC Mirage also lets you do this with weapons, so let your creativity run wild.
