Many rarest Fortnite items may never return to the game. These items have become so rare for a reason, and some of them may not be legally allowed to return. This is very unfortunate considering that many players would love to own these items. However, that is unlikely to happen.

This article will list 10 rarest Fortnite items ever released to the Item Shop. We’ll take a look at the last release date of these items and mention the reason why they haven’t returned yet.

You’ll find the rarest Fortnite cosmetic item of all time at the bottom of the article.

These are the rarest Fortnite items ever released

10) Black Widow outfit

The original Black Widow outfit was released with the first Fortnite x Marvel collaboration. Surprisingly, Epic Games has released her to the Item Shop only six times, making her one of the rarest Fortnite items of all time.

A new version of the popular Marvel character was eventually released. Due to this, there’s a chance that the original skin will never return to the video game.

The Warthog glider is one of the first cosmetic items to ever come to Fortnite Battle Royale. It was first released in October 2017 and has appeared in the Item Shop 23 times. However, Epic hasn’t brought it back for more than four years.

The rare glider is not controversial nor is it a collaboration item. Due to this, it may return to the game at some point.

Roadtrip is another glider that’s become one of the rarest Fortnite items. It came out in November 2017 and players had the opportunity to purchase it 15 different times. For unknown reasons, the item hasn’t returned for four and a half years.

Just like Warthog, Roadtrip will most likely be unvaulted in the future. However, it’s hard to tell when exactly this will happen.

Reflex is not only one of the rarest Fortnite items, but it’s also one of the most controversial skins in the game. Originally, it was intended to be an exclusive skin that could be obtained by purchasing a new Nvidia graphics card. However, Epic Games made a mistake by releasing it to the Item Shop.

The rare Fortnite skin stayed in the Item Shop for only two days. After that, Epic removed it and released a new version of it for the owners of Nvidia’s GPU. Due to this, it’s unlikely that the skin will ever return to the game.

Many gliders have made the list of the rarest Fortnite items. Heartspan is one of the most beautiful cosmetic items in the battle royale game, yet it’s also very rare. The item was first released for Valentine’s Day in 2019, and players had only three opportunities to get it.

Not only is Heartspan glider extremely rare but it’s free as well. Despite being vaulted for four and a half years, it’ll probably return for another Valentine’s Day event in the future.

We decided not to include all back blings on this list, since most of them come bundled with skins. However, Buckled is an exception. The Fortnite item was available in a special bundle that appeared in the Item Shop for only three days.

No one but Epic Games knows why the back bling hasn’t returned to the Item Shop yet. However, there doesn’t seem to be a specific reason for this, which is why we expect it to return at some point.

Similar to the Heartspan glider, Hot Marat was a free item. It’s been in the Item Shop only three times and has therefore become one of the rarest Fortnite items of all time. The emote was used for the promotion of Ralph Breaks the Internet, an animated movie.

Considering that Hot Marat is a collaboration item, it may not return anytime soon. While there are some rumors about Wreck-It Ralph 3, a new movie may not be released in a few more years.

Fresh was one of the first emotes to come to Fortnite’s Item Shop. It was released less than three months after the game came out and has appeared in the shop 30 times. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been out for nearly five years and may never return.

The rare Fortnite emote was the subject of the lawsuit filed by Alfonso Ribeiro, an actor who used the dance in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. While the actor withdrew the lawsuit, the cosmetic item hasn’t returned to the Item Shop, and no one knows if it ever will.

Rust Bucket is one of the rarest Fortnite items that may never return. It’s another free item, but it was released only during a specific period. Back in April 2018, Fortnite experienced one of the longest unintentional downtimes. As an apology, Epic Games allowed players to claim the back bling for free.

The cosmetic item was released to the Item Shop for free and was available for seven days. There’s a chance that the item will return at some point, although it wouldn’t be surprising if it never does.

1) Mako glider

Mako is the rarest Fortnite item of all time. This may come as a surprise since the glider was released in the first season of the popular video game. To unlock it, players had to reach level 25. However, Epic Games eventually released the glider to the Item Shop, allowing players to purchase it for a few hours.

This single release of the item has made it very rare. Additionally, the removal of Mako from the Item Shop may have likely caused Epic to make Battle Pass items exclusive in the future.
