Cyrene is a 5-star Ice Remembrance character in Honkai Star Rail. She is very powerful, but is also restricted in terms of where you can put her in your team. If you’re looking for a universal support, Cyrene is not your best bet, but for Amphoreus-specific teams, she is a must-have.
This is because Cyrene specifically buffs Chrysos Heirs, who are the heroes from Amphoreus. This isn’t just a requirement, but rather a necessity for any team comp involving Cyrene. This is because these buffs help Cyrene to collect Recollection buffs and thereby charge up her ultimate ability, which otherwise becomes very difficult.
Cyrene kit

Cyrene’s HSR kit revolves around you collecting Recollection points as quickly as possible. These points let you trigger your Ultimate, enhance your Basic Attack, and provide other buffs that benefit your party. The fastest way to collect Recollection points is by adding three Chrysos Heirs to your party.
If you have three Chrysos Heris in your party, you start the battle with six Recollection Points. You also receive one Recollection point for using your standard Basic Attack and 2 for using your Skill. Even then, reaching 24 Recollection points takes time, so those initial six provide a crucial leg-up.
This issue with collecting Recollection points can be fixed if you decide to go for Cyrene’s second Eidolon. You’d need to essentially pull Cyrene multiple times to do this, though, so it’s easier said than done. That said, if you’re lucky enough to reach that second Eidolon, you will start the battle with 12 Recollection points. This trivializes the process of building up those points.
Once you have collected 24 Recollection Points, you can trigger your Ultimate ability. This summons the Memosprite Demiurge and charges the Ultimate abilities of your entire party. Additionally, it triggers the Ripples of Past Reverie state, where you can activate your Ultimate with only 12 Recollection Points. Your Basic ATK is also enhanced when you trigger your Ultimate.
When Cyrene uses her Skill ability, she creates a Zone where allies deal 12% extra True DMG to enemies. She also receives three Recollection Points when triggering her Skill ability.
Cyrene also has three bonus abilities, namely, Causality in Trichotomy, Child of Remembrance, and Ripples Across Time. Causality in Trichotomy increases the damage dealt by allies by 20% if Cyrene has 180 SPD or above.
Child of Remembrance grants the Future buff to any ally that summons a Memosprite. If the ally unit with Future Buff takes action, Cyrene receives a Recollection Point. This Future buff can also be triggered through her Talent ability. Actions from any ally, Memosprite, or Cyrene herself trigger the buff.
Finally, the Ripples Across Time ability grants six Recollection Points when Cyrene has three Chrysos Heirs on the battlefield. You must remember, the three Chrysos Heirs are counted, excluding Cyrene.
Cyrene build

Cyrene is pretty stat-heavy when it comes to her build requirements in Honkai Star Rail. She needs to reach a high SPD stat as she must take as many turns as possible to collect Recollection Points. You also need HP. Since she’s a support, you’ll need her to stay alive. Crit stats are not as important, but you can add them as your third or fourth choice substats.
| Build Specifications | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Light Cone | This Love, Forever |
| Relic | 2x Sacredos’ Relived Ordeal and 2x Messenger Traversing Hackerspace |
| Ornament | Sprightly Vonwacq |
| Body | HP% |
| Feet | SPD |
| Sphere | HP% |
| Rope | HP% |
You must reach 180 SPD with Cyrene, or if possible, 200 SPD, so that she can take as many turns as possible. You will need to hit about 4000 HP so that she reaches her survivability breakpoint.
Once you have both SPD and HP in place, it’s worth picking up some Crit Rate and Crit DMG, though this is a pleasant bonus and not strictly necessary.
Cyrene Relics

When it comes to the best Relics for Cyrene, you need something that boosts her SPD since you need to reach that magic 180 threshold. As such, a combination of two pieces of Sacredos’ Relived Ordeal and Messenger Traversing Hackerspace will be the best choice for Cyrene.
This is because both Relics have a two-piece bonus that gives a 6% SPD boost. The four-piece bonuses don’t offer anything for Cyrene, so don’t worry about equipping the complete set.
When it comes to her Ornament, you must go for Sprightly Vonwacq. This is because, upon equipping, your Energy Regen is increased by 5%. However, the important part of this set is that when your SPD reaches 120, you receive Action Forward by 40%, which means more turns for Cyrene.
The Energy Regen isn’t worth it for you since Cyrene’s Ultimate is charged through Recollection stacks rather than Energy, as would be more typical. However, the Action Forward is essential to help Cyrene get the Recollection stats quicker.
Cyrene Light Cones

Cyrene has several strong choices when it comes to Light Cones. If you want to play her optimally, you’ll need her signature Light Cone: This Love, Forever. However, there are alternate options that will do decently on her, though her best choices are all 5-star Light Cones.
This Love, Forever
This is a 5-star Light Cone, which is also the signature choice for Cyrene. This Light Cone increases the SPD of the equipped character by 18%. Additionally, when the equipped unit uses the Memosprite skill on an ally, the entire party receives the Blank buff.
The Blank buff increases damage taken by all allies by 10%. When the wearer’s Memosprite uses a skill on an enemy, all party members receive the buff called Verse. This buff increases Crit DMG of all allies by 16%.
Both these buffs can be active at the same time. When that happens, the buffs from Blank and Verse are increased by 60%.
Memory’s Curtain Never Falls
Memory’s Curtain Never Falls is also a 5-star Light Cone. However, in a positive development, it’s easy to acquire for free-to-play players. This is because you can purchase it from Herta’s Shop by simply completing Simulated Universe runs.
When equipped, it increases the SPD of the wearer by 12% at Superpositive five. Additionally, upon using Skill, the damage dealt by all allies is increased by 16%.
The best part about this Light Cone is that you can easily get it to Superposition five in a few weeks. It still won’t be as powerful as her signature, but better than any other available options in the game.
Long May Rainbows Adorn The Sky
This is a 5-star Light Cone, which is also a signature for Hyacine. However, if you have an extra copy, you can give it to Cyrene. This Light Cone increases the wearer’s SPD by 18%.
Additionally, upon using your Skill, Ultimate, or Basic ATK, all allies have their HP consumed by 1% of their HP values. When the wearer’s Memosprite launches its next attack, it deals damage equal to 250% of the consumed HP.
If the Memosprite uses its Skill, the damage taken by all enemies is increased by 20%. This Light Cone is good, but it comes with the downside that it consumes allies’ HP. This works for Hyacine since she is a healer, but Cyrene cannot heal. However, if you are running Hyacine in your team, you can give this Light Cone to Cyrene without fear.
Best Cyrene team comps

Cyrene’s team comps pretty much centre around finding Chrysos heirs and putting them in the available slots. You should try to maintain at least two Chrysos Heirs in Cyrene-based teams. Without them, you’ll really struggle to get the most out of Cyrene’s kit.
Cyrene Castorice team
This team consists of Cyrene, Castorice, Hyacine, and Evernight. In this team, Castorice and Hyacine are the Chrysos Heirs, so you will receive three Recollection Points. Evernight isn’t a Chrysos Heir, but she is a must-have for Castorice.
Cyrene will function as the primary damage support for the team, as she will buff everyone in the party through her abilities. Cyrene will also fully charge everyone’s Ultimate once she collects enough Recollection points and uses her own Ultimate.
Hyacine will function as the healer for the team, and is a must-have due to Castorice’s HP drain mechanic. She also provides HP buffs, which are essential for Castorice due to her HP scaling.
Evernight will function as a support for Castorice while also being a secondary DPS for the team. She gains Memorial stacks whenever she loses HP, which is possible through Castorice. This increases her Crit DMG, and thereby also increases her damage output.
Finally, Castorice will be the main DPS for the team. She is pretty straightforward to use. She consumes allies’ HP to summon her Memosprite and deal damage. However, once her Memosprite is exhausted, she heals everyone in the party.
Cyrene Aglaea team
This team consists of Cyrene, Aglaea, Sunday, and Hyacine. In this team, Cyrene, Aglaea, and Hyacine are the Chrysos Heirs. Sunday will function as a support for Aglaea, since he can provide Crit buffs and Action forward, both of which are essential for the latter.
Cyrene is once again the main support for the team, since her buffs will increase Aglaea’s damage by quite a bit. Finally, Hyacine will be the healer for the team who will make sure the party’s health remains topped up even in endgame content.
If you prefer, it’s possible to replace Hyacine with Dan Heng Permansor Terrae. However, it’s better to have Hyacine for the Chrysos Heir buffs.
Aglaea will be the main DPS here, where she and her Memosprite will deal massive damage to all enemies. She gains a lot of SPD buffs as she takes multiple turns. When combined with the various buffs for Sunday and Cyrene, Aglaea will carry you through all kinds of endgame content for now.
Is Cyrene worth pulling?

Cyrene is only worth pulling in Honkai Star Rail if you’re in a position to deal with her reliance on Chrysos Heirs. She is very strong, as long as she is playing within her own niche. This includes Remembrance teams and specifically Chrysos Heirs. You need at least two of Chrysos Heirs to make Cyrene function.
If you haven’t pulled any Chrysos Heirs or have maybe one or two at most, then Cyrene won’t be a good addition to your account. The problem with Cyrene is that she isn’t a future-proof character either.
The story of Amphoreus, including the Chrysos Heirs, is a bubble of its own, which is now complete, meaning that tracking down more Chrysos Heirs may prove challenging going forward.
As such, if you don’t have a team for Cyrene now, you won’t have one in the future either unless you specifically target Amphoreus units.
This is why you have to make a decision on how much you want Cyrene. If you are going for her second Eidolon or above, then she can function on non-Chrysos Heir teams (in theory, anyway). Otherwise, you should consider spending your Stellar Jades on other units that are more flexible.
