After wrapping up your business with Ruby in General’s Shrine, you’ll head off to Heaven’s Pier as part of the Homeward Path portion of Chapter One Heaven Has No Pier. On your way through Stonewash Strand, you’ll come across various points of interest, including a set of two Buddha statues next to a plinth of rock etched with ornate carvings. Meow Meow, the treasure cat, is sitting on a rock not far away, letting you know it’s a puzzle.
While you can brute force the solution by turning the statues until you crack the puzzle, the clues are all there. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to find the Stonewash Strand Buddha statue puzzle solution in Where Winds Meet.
How to solve the Stonewash Strand Buddha statue puzzle

To solve the Stonewash Strand Buddha statue puzzle, you’ll need to turn both statues so that they are facing one another. You can do this by interacting with each statue in turn and tapping R2 on PS5 or F on PC to rotate them clockwise and counter-clockwise as needed.
That’s the solution, but if you’re after how to get there, head over to the stone monument just past the statues. Interact with it, and you’ll see the following message: “The duty of a hero is to wield the sword to quell chaos and never regret it, no matter how many setbacks. Hand in hand in the next life, gazing at each other for a hundred years.”

It’s slightly cryptic, but the point here is that the two statues need to “gaze” at each other, or, in other words, face each other to solve the puzzle. Turning the statues will trigger a short conversation with Meow Meow. You’ll earn a range of rewards for your efforts, including Oscillating Jade, XP, Qinghe Exploration, Coin, and five Bells.
