Need For Speed: Most Wanted on Vita - First details
Vita version contains events and challenges specific to the handheld, makes use of the camera and microphone.
The first details on the PlayStation Vita version of Need For Speed: Most Wanted have been revealed via a listing on GAME.
According to the retailer, the handheld version will contain "Vita exclusive features", including Vita-specific events and challenges that you can play using the front and rear touch pads.
Car-crashing mini-games, perhaps?
Players will also be able to use the Vita's front camera to take their Autolog picture and use the built-in microphone to chat with friends online.
The rest of the game, however, appears to be fairly similar to the home console versions, with open-world racing/chasing, "non-stop multiplayer" and the integration of Autolog 2, the next version of Criterion's fantastic social networking feature.
Earlier today, Criterion told us that Most Wanted will feature "all the best shit" from Burnout.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC on November 2.

And good to see Most Wanted hit the Vita but I'll be ignoring it in favour of the PS3 edition.

I'd buy both because I can't use my PS3 on the bus or at work or while I'm out of my house. What they really need, though, is a different set of maps for the vita game to encourage gamers to buy both. Assassins Creed III will be a completely different story for the Vita, with a female protagonist, and that really works well.
But sometimes handheld players just want a good version of a console game to play on the move.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Vita Most Wanted. I think it's great that it's coming to the Vita as its a top title for the platform to recieve. What bothers me is that it's a port and not a unique Vita title. Im obviously super excited for Most Wanted and I'm 100% likely to buy it for the Playstation. So then, do I need the Vita version as well?
I wonder how many people would be likely to buy this version instead of the living room console version, or even as well as. I worry that if the answer is not too many, then will it reflect badly on Vita software sales as a whole and convince more developers not to risk working with the platform.
