South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker originally wanted to call South Park: The Fractured But Whole ‘South Park: The Butthole of Time’, but were forced to change it after being told that retailers wouldn’t put the game on the shelf.

“It was originally called The Butthole of Time. They ran it past the whatever and said you can’t put Butthole of Time,” Parker said in a new vidoc released this weekend. “The retailers won’t put ‘butthole’ on a shelf,” added Stone. “So I just sat there at my desk for hours like butthole, butthole, butthole, butt hole… But Whole!” Parker concludes.

The pair also revealed that they learned from mistakes in the previous game by going back and watching Let’s Play videos by Pewdiepie.

“It was just the best material I could have because it was like, I was watching an audience member play it and what they were thinking about it,” added Parker. “It was great to have that as a resource.”

South Park: The Fractured But Whole launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on December 6.
