We’re taking a look at all of the latest iPhone 15 release date rumors to find out if it could launch soon.

The iPhone 15 is expected to be the next flagship device in Apple’s iconic smartphone range, and it’s likely to launch at some point in 2023. As we’ve seen from their past releases – the iPhone often sees a new installment each year, so logic dictates that this year will be the iPhone 15’s turn. However, as of yet, we haven’t yet heard an official announcement from Apple that the device is on its way.

The iPhone 15 will likely surpass the iPhone 14 in performance, design, and innovative features, though until it’s officially confirmed, we’re only really going to be able to make predictions on the release date based on previous release patterns and the latest rumors.

We’ve already taken a look at the iPhone 15 Pro Max, likely to be one of the best gaming phones, and it seems entirely possible that it releases alongside the iPhone 15. When exactly do we think that will be?

iPhone 15 release date prediction using historical patterns

We’ve become used to Apple releasing a new iteration of the iPhone each year. This often happens in the months of either September, October, or November. Below we’ve detailed each release date from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone 14.

  • iPhone 7 and 7 Plus – September 16, 2016
  • iPhone 8 and 8 Plus – September 17, 2017
  • iPhone X – November 3, 2017
  • iPhone 11 – September 20, 2019
  • iPhone 12 – October 23, 2020
  • iPhone 13 – September 24, 2021
  • iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max – September 16, 2022

In light of this, the pattern actually leans in the favor of mid-September as the release window. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, as this has been a normal time for Apple to release their iPhones for a while now. Of course, Apple haven’t officially announced a release date yet, so we’re going to be cautious of placing all of our eggs in one basket.

iPhone 15 release date rumors and leaks

As discussed in our iPhone 15 Pro Max release date rumors, there are not really many reliable rumors and leaks to base the iPhone 15’s release date off. The only meaty piece of information we’ve had has been from Haitong International’s Jeff Pu – an analyst specialising in Apple’s business movements – who has said that the iPhone 15 might release on September 23rd.

This claim was founded upon one of Pu’s supply chain sources stating that this date fits in with Apple’s release schedule.

Ultimately though, there’s not really any hard evidence of this, so we’re not reading into it too much. It does, however, corroborate our earlier prediction that we’re seeing a release some time in mid-September.

We’ve also heard recent news regarding the iPhone 15 and whether or not it will be equipped with an LPTO display. According to an industry source cited by news aggregator account  “yeux1122” on the Korean Naver blog, it looks like only the Pro models in the 15 series will have LPTO panels required for ProMotion. If this is accurate, it, unfortunately, means that the always-on display option will be a Pro-exclusive feature.

In light of this, we’re going to be keeping our eyes peeled for more relevant rumors and leaks that might tell us more about the launch.

For now though, seeing as we’re nearly eight months away from our predicted release date, make sure to visit us periodically to get the latest updates regarding the iPhone 15 release date.
