You can get a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra via Samsung itself in a matter of hours. This close to the launch there are still some discounted rates available for 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB depending on provider. In the US, you can buy Unlocked (able to use on any network) or through T Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, or UScellular. Color variations available to pre order include Titanium Green, Titanium Blue, Titanium Orange, Titanium Violet, Titanium Yellow, Titanium Black, and Titanium Gray.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra release date
Pre orders have been available since January 17, with the S4 Ultra set to be officially released later today, January 31. Rumors and speculation at the beginning of this year seemed to agree the release was set to come in early 2024, with the announcement expected at the Samsung Galaxy Unboxing event in San Jose.
The release date being in the early half of this year was anticipated as the Samsung Galaxy S23 launched on February 1, 2023, slightly earlier than its predecessor, the S22 which was announced on February 9, 2022, and the S21 on January 29, 2021; making the S24 the earliest release date for a new series since the S21.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra price confirmed
We now know how much of a dent the S24 Ultra will put in your pocket. Ahead of the unveiling, Phone Arena reported that there were no major changes to be expected in regards to Samsung’s pricing strategy, expecting the S24 Ultra’s starting price to be the same as the S23 series; this would mean that the S24 Ultra at its basic form should cost $1,199.99 for 256GB of storage, with the highest price being at $1,619.99 for 1TB of storage. Additionally, Tom’s Guide pointed out Samsung’s flagships tend to coincide with their main rival Apple, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max just saw a price increase that makes it $1,199.99, matching the S23, so it seems unlikely that Samsung would price the S24 too much higher.
However, reputable tipster Yogesh Brar tweeted ahead of the Unboxing event that we would be seeing a $50-$200 price jump in all major flagships including the Galaxy S24 series, which was doubted at the time. That being said, the pre-order prices revealed for the S24 Ultra across all three tiers of storage packages has seen a $50-$100 price increase, with the original price of a standard (256GB) Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra costing $1299.99, rather than the $1199.99 its S23 predecessor began at. The larger storage packages originally come in at $1419.99 (512GB) and $1659.99 for 1TB. However, Samsung are now running a limited time sale, which looks to be ending soon, making the 256GB, 512GB and 1TB S24 Ultra availbale now for a substantially lower price.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 6.8 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen. With a maximized refresh rate of 120Hz and Color Depth of 16m. It was confirmed that the rear cameras will include Optical zoom 3x and 5x, alongside Optical quality zoom at 2x and 10x, with the 100x digital zoom being retained. Though Samsung have opted to leave the 10x optical zoom behind. The cameras will also feature UHD 8K video recording capabilities. The S24 Ultra will be using an Octa-Core CPU type, with a CPU speed of up to 3.39Ghz.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is also equipped with an upgraded battery, 5000mAh, that is believed to charge from 0 to 65% in just 30 minutes with 45w charging. The S24 Ultra does also supported wireless charging. It is also set to be able to last in fresh water up 1.5m deep for up to 30 minutes. As well, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is fitted with new and improved AI features such as Live Translate, Android Auto (which automatically summarizes incoming messages and prompts with relevant replies) as well as ProVisual Engine, photo capturing and editing software, which is full of AI-powered tools for those are interested in the creative aspects of the new S24 series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus new design
All of the new S24 phones have an armor aluminium frame, upgraded Gorilla Glass and IP68 water and dust resistance to keep your phone as protected from damage as possible. Also, unlike the rounded edges of the S23 series, the S24 Ultra has been revamped with a flat-edged design that freshens up its aesthetic while still remaining familiar to Samsung users. Though it could be argued this new design is somewhat reminiscent of Apple’s iPhone 15, leaks of the speculated Google Pixel 9 suggest Google have gone for a similar design as well.
