If you’re considering upgrading your gaming PC then you need to know the RTX 4080 Super size and dimensions. The hotly anticipated graphics card is releasing later this week. We’re showing where to buy RTX 4080 Super graphics cards here, but it might be time to consider one of the best cases for RTX 4080 Super if your rig is a little on the cramped side. Let’s get into the details.

The good news is that the RTX 4080 Super size and dimensions remain unchanged from the original RTX 4080 model from over a year ago. According to Nvidia, the RTX 4080 Super is a 3-slot GPU with a length of 11.9 inches (30.4cm) and a width of 5.3 inches (13.7cm) for the Founders Edition model, however, these specs could change if you opt for a partner card, so we recommend double-checking the specs closely.

Some RTX 4080 Super partner cards, such as those made by Gigabyte, ASUS, Inno3D, MSI, PNY, and Zotac could be a touch longer, heavier, or wider depending on the heatsink used. For example, the MSI RTX 4080 Super Gaming X Trio partner card (via MSI) is larger with a length of 13.2 inches (33.5cm) and a width of 5.5 inches (13.9cm). This means that the MSI variant is a full 1.3 inches longer and 0.2 inches wider. It’s worth breaking out the measuring tape if you have a conservatively spaced mid-tower.

You’ll also need to be conscious of the weight of the RTX 4080 Super. While Nvidia hasn’t officially listed the heft of its upcoming Founders Edition model, US retailer Best Buy has its weight listed at 4.85lbs (or 2199g). We can turn our attention to the aforementioned MSI partner card which weighs in at 4.13lbs (1877g) and is 14% lighter. That’s not the case with all partner cards, however.

Take the ASUS Strix RTX 4080 Super OC Edition for example. According to the official tech specs, this variant features a significantly larger heatsink as a 3.5 slot GPU with a total size of 14 inches (35.76cm) in length and 5.8 inches (14.72cm) in width, being a full 2.1 inches (5.3cm) longer. Couple that with the increased weight. The ASUS’ card comes in at a mammoth 5.52lbs (2503g) according to its Best Buy listing page. That means this partner card is a full 13% heavier, which is something you’ll have to account for. Some partner cards come with dedicated GPU support brackets, others do not, so buy with caution to prevent any potential sag.
