After months of rumors and speculation, Nvidia has now announced the RTX 4070 Super and the RTX 4070 Ti Super and we’re bringing you everything we know about the mid-range Ada refresh models. It’s an exciting time for PC gamers with 2024 kicking off with a bang, especially when considering what these two newly unveiled graphics cards are capable of.

The RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super were revealed during Nvidia’s Special Address at CES 2024 with competitive price points, powerful specs, and availability that’s coming sooner rather than later. With mere weeks until these two GPUs hit the market, we’re showing you where to buy RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super in territories such as the US and the UK.

RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super release dates

Announced during Nvidia’s CES 2024 Special Address, the RTX 4070 Super will be the first of the three cards unveiled to hit shelves. The RTX 4070 Super will be released on January 17 worldwide, which is next week. With that said, the RTX 4070 Ti Super isn’t far behind it, as it’s scheduled to drop on January 24. If you’ve been holding out for a mid range beast from the Ada line-up then either of these two models seem ideal.

RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super price

We’ll keep things short and sweet. The RTX 4070 Super will carry an MSRP of $599 which is the same price point as the original RTX 4070 from late 2022. This means that you can get a much faster card without having to pay anymore of a premium, but more on performance potential later. In terms of its more powerful sibling, the RTX 4070 Ti Super will start at $799 depending on partner’s pricing.

RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti specs

The RTX 4070 boasts 20% more CUDA cores than the original model and is consequently faster than RTX 3090 for a fraction of the price according what Jeff Fisher said during the aforementioned Special Address. On the technical front there’s confirmed to be 36 Shader TFLOPS, 82 RT TFLOPS, and 568 AI TLOPS. This is coupled with a bandwidth of 504 GB/sec and 12GB GDDR6X memory.

In terms of raw power, the RTX 4070 Ti Super wins out, however. For a start, it features 16GB GDDR6X memory which is the same as the RTX 4080, and a bump up of 4GB extra from the original RTX 4070 Ti. That’ll effectively eliminate any VRAM-based bottlenecking that a few modern games are starting to push for in 1440p and even 4K. It’s built with 44 Shader TFLOPS, 102 RT FLOPS, and 706 TFLOPS and is slated to be around 2.5x faster than the RTX 3070 Ti.

How much is the RTX 4070 Ti Super?

Nvidia has stated that the RTX 4070 Ti Super will ship with a retail price starting at $799.

What is the best version of the RTX 4070 Ti?

We think the best version of the RTX 4070 Ti you can get will be the upcoming RTX 4070 Ti Super because it features 16GB GDDR6X VRAM and more CUDA cores while keeping the pricing identical to the base model.
