We’re expecting the RX 7600 size to be fairly compact if the rumours prove accurate – so just how big will it be?
AMD’s upcoming graphics card, rumoured to be released very soon may just be one of AMD’s most compact graphics cards to date. Though the exact dimensions of the GPU are yet to be confirmed, it seems likely that the card could be a similar size to a mini-ITX GPU.
According to VideoCardz, the RX 7600 is rumoured to measure less than 21cm with two fans. It could also feature a full-sized PCIe 4 slot with 16 lanes, though only 8 are electrically connected. If you’ve been hoping for a current-gen graphics card that doesn’t require you to upgrade your PC case for more clearance, then the RX 7600 could be what you’ve been looking for. The card will also have four display connectors: 3 x DisplayPort 21. and one HDMI 2.1 output which provides pretty good connectivity.
Compared to Nvidia’s 40-series lineup of GPUs that have created a new precedent for massive graphics cards, the RX 7600’s small size is very refreshing. For reference, your average mini-ITX graphics card is around 17cm long.
Even for AMD’s past graphics cards, you’ll find the RX 7600 potentially comes out the smallest. In our comparison of the RX 7600 vs RX 6600 XT, we found that the older graphics card could be almost 5cm less in length, though AMD has potentially kept the dual fan design across generations.
This means the imminent arrival of the RX 7600 could be the compact king many gamers have been waiting for amongst the monstrously sized Nvidia 40-series cards. Amongst other likely specs which include 2,048 Stream Processors and 8GB VRAM, the RX 7600 looks set to be a popular graphics card.
