For those interested in the rumours and speculation around the Intel Battlemage release date and wondering when we could be seeing it, don’t worry. You’ve come to the right place.

After the release of the Intel Arc Alchemist series, it’s no wonder eyes are now turning to the next Intel GPUs. When Arc Alchemist was released, it was announced as their first GPU series, according to this Intel Arc PR. We were promised Alchemist, then Battlemage, then Celestial, then Druid. With the release of the RTX 4070 and now the potential RTX 4060 release date â€“ there are so many options, but only a few in the Intel Arc series so far. So where is Battlemage now? And when can we expect it?

Let’s get into it.

Intel Arc Battlemage release date rumours – what do we know?

There’s been a lot of speculation and rumour floating around about when the next iteration of Intel’s GPUs could be hitting shelves. First, there was a rumour that it might be cancelled or at the very least pushed back (first heard in a Moore’s Law is Dead YouTube video). Then, there was the suggestion that things would actually be moving much quicker from Raja Koduri, Executive VP and General Manager of AXG Group during an interview with Gadgets360.

However, after that, we found out that Raja Koduri had left his position at Intel. This muddies the water on the relevancy of any release predictions and brand strategy he revealed before leaving on our current discussion, as Intel may well have changed its plans since we last heard – particularly with the shake up of their Executive VP and General Manager leaving. Finally, we have a supposed roadmap of Intel’s GPU release plans from RedGamingTech. The problem with this leak, and indeed the Moore’s Law is Dead rumour, is that you have to take them with a pinch of salt as nothing they may reveal has been confirmed by Intel themselves.

With all of this going on, it seems difficult to actually pick out a reasonable time to suggest we might actually see the Intel Battlemage. For now, until we know more, we’re going to hesitantly suggest that barring no unforseen roadblocks, we might be seeing the Intel Battlemage sometime around the Q2 or Q3 quarters of 2024. With so much speculation and so little confirmed, it seems unlikely we would see it any earlier than that.

Normally at this point we would use the company’s previous release patterns to see if that supported our suggestion, but as this only the second GPU series from Intel, there’s precious little to go on on a series-commencement basis. We suggest 2024 due the large upgrade in technology we’re hoping to see in this latest iteration to compete more with the likes of new releases like the RTX 4070 or RX 7900 XT, or older models like the RTX 3070.

We’re going to be keeping an eye out for the latest updates on the Intel Arc Battlemage series, so make sure to watch this space.

Intel Arc Battlemage rumours and leaks

With our ears to the ground, we’re covering the few rumours and leaks we’ve heard about the Intel Arc Battlemage.

If you’re keen to hear anything regarding the specs for Intel Arc Battlemage, the clues are few and far between. However, one reputable leaker by the name of Komachi_Esaka has spotted a potential clue on a mistakenly published Intel GPU test driver on their website. Amongst other integrated GPUs, the driver also mentioned two unreleased dedicated graphics cards under the codename ELASTI_DG that is potentially connected to the Battlemage architecture. Though not a major leak, it does tell us that it confirms the configurations of upcoming integrated solutions.
