The AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT will land early this year. All of the major hardware companies are currently gearing up for their CES 2024 presentations, with new tech releases on everyone’s mind, and the GPU announcement on January 8th seems to indicate it’s not long before it’s on store shelves. We’re going through the RX 7600 XT’s release date, price, specs, and everything else we know.

When AMD turned up last year, it mainly focused on gaming laptop mobile processors and the 7000X3D series CPUs that re-introduced 3D V-Caching. This year, though, computing architecture has taken an all-new direction following the advent of AI. Machine learning relies heavily on the power that graphical components can offer, exemplified by Nvidia’s recent growth following AI investments. With that in mind, we’re going to be expecting an exciting showcase of the RX 7600 XT, which AMD boasts will be “accelerating AI”.

AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT release date

The Radeon RX 7600 XT release date has now been confirmed as January 24th, according to AMD. This news had previously been very much up in the air, with only leaks and rumors to play off. However, now that the card has been formally announced there’s little speculation needed.

It looks as though the RX 7600 XT is going to be perfect for targeting 1080p and 1440p thanks to advancements in FSR 3. The RX 7600 XT is based on a Navi 33 die, and while the 16GB VRAM is a pretty sight, it’s a little disappointing to see another mainstream graphics card with such iterative updates on its predecessor. At least this amount of VRAM will provide a decent overhead for these two target resolutions.

RX 7600 XT price

The RX 7600 XT price has also now been confirmed as $329, which is $60 more expensive than the base model RX 7600, and $30 more expensive than the RTX 4060.

The recent prices of lower-end graphics cards has been a contentious issue in recent years. As the prices of processor chips only seems to be increasing, the actual performance hasn’t been seeing much movement. AMD’s performance benchmarks above suggest that the RX 7600 XT is going to go offer increased performance over the RTX 4060, it conveniently avoids any mention of the RTX 4060 Ti, which should also be factored into the equation. The latter video card retails for $399, so Team Red is undercutting against the Ti variant by around $70.

It’s going to be tough to choose between the best budget GPUs as more lower-end SKUs are announced, though it certainly makes current-generation PC gaming feasible for many.

We’re going to be keeping an eye out for the up-to-date news surrounding the RX 7600 XT and all of the other GPUs announced at CES 2024. For instance, the RTX 4080 Super has just been announced, alongside the 4070 Super and 4070 Ti Super.
