Fans of Larian Studio’s games have waited years for Baldur’s Gate 3, ever since Bioware released Baldur’s Gate 2 in 2000, with an enhanced edition launching nearly a year later. However, the recent news that there was going to be no preload, nor would there be a 72-hour head-start period, has tickled the patience of many. Despite Baldur’s Gate 3’s release date being brought forward a month, there’s going to be countless of players yearning to find out if you can play it early.
Will the New Zealand trick work with Baldur’s Gate 3?
The game is set for a release time on August 3rd at 4PM BST, 8AM PT, 11AM PT, 5PM CEST and at 3AM NZST. This means that the game is going to be released at a globally synchronised time, meaning all players will be able to get onto the game at the same time. Sometimes, games launch at midnight on the clock across different regions, giving crafty players the opportunity to get onto the game early by changing their system time zones.
The bad news is that, as this isn’t happening for Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s unlikely that the New Zealand trick is going to work with the game.
