With a release not too long away at all now – many people out there might be wondering if Baldur’s Gate 3 has Denuvo.

At the time of writing, it seems as though Steam page for the game lists nothing suggesting DRM protection is included. At the moment, though, the game is still in its early access phase, meaning that the final release could certainly see a different story.

At the moment, there’s little confirmation whether or not the final game is going to have Denuvo DRM protection – so we can take a look to previous Larian releases to find out.

Divinity Original Sin 2, for example, was a game that could be launched without encountering any type of DRM protection, Denuvo included.

To further add to this – the GOG listing for the game confirms that it is DRM free:

While it’s slightly frustrating that you can’t preload Baldur’s Gate 3, the arrival of mods shortly after launch should satiate gamers. Alongside this, there’s a few graphics settings you’re going to want to get on top of, including which graphics API you should pick – Vulkan or DirectX11.
