The Predator Helios range has been a stalwart figure in the gaming laptop market for a long time now. With the latest reveal of the Acer Predator Helios 18 and its slightly smaller sibling the Predator Helios 16, Acer’s presence looks to grow even stronger.
The Acer Predator Helios 18 is powered by up to an RTX 4080 mobile graphics card, an Intel 13th Gen Core i9 processor, and up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM – asserting it as an extremely powerful machine. With up to an 18-inch mini LED WQXGA (2560 x 1600) display, gaming with DLSS 3 and ray-tracing is going to rival even the best gaming PCs.
Its announcement at CES 2023 joins a growing list of gaming laptops ready to launch in 2023, with the Razer Blade 16 and Blade 18 also being announced.

Acer Predator Helios 18 release date predictions – when do we expect it?
While we are still awaiting a specific release date, a recent press release published by Acer has filled us in with the latest information.
‘The Predator Helios 18 (PH18-71) will be available in North America in April, starting at USD 1,699; in EMEA in March, starting at EUR 2,499, and in China in February, starting at RMB 20,999.‘
Above is the relevant information regarding the Acer Predator Helios 18 release date, and while it doesn’t exactly reveal a specific date, we can infer a general release window for the laptop’s release in specific regions.
