Wanting to know whether Starfield can run on an GTX 1080 Ti? Don’t worry, you’re in the right place.
Bethesda Studio’s Starfield has been in the works for 25 years and it’s fairly safe to say, it’s one of the most anticipated games this year. We’ve got our experts on the job to make sure you’re up to speed with everything Starfield. From answering queries on whether Starfield is CPU or GPU intensive, to creating a Starfield’s planet guide, we’ve got you covered.
For now though, let’s talk about whether your GTX 1080 Ti is enough to run Starfield.
Can the GTX 1080 Ti run Starfield?
In short, yes. An GTX 1080 Ti can run Starfield but it’s definitely not the best GPU for the game. Now that we have Starfield’s minimum system requirements, we know that the minimum GPU is the NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti or equivalent which means the 1080 Ti would be fine. However, it’s important to take the minimum requirements with a pinch of salt because they might be able to run it but it doesn’t mean seamless gameplay. It’s better to look at the recommended requirements which, in this case, the GPU required is an Nvidia RTX 2080.
Is the GTX 1080 Ti enough for Starfield?
As mentioned before the GTX 1080 Ti is enough to run Starfield. But if you are after higher framerates and more aesthetical gameplay then we’d recommend either taking a closer look at the graphic settings or getting an upgrade. If you’re not wanting to invest in another GPU yet, there are additional measures such as considering the best thermal paste for GPU or even finding the perfect CPU for Starfield to pair with your set-up.
Is GTX 1080 Ti enough for 1440p?
Not really. Unless you’re wanting to play with a painfully low framerate then it’s not going to run that well at 1440p. You can always try adjusting the in-game settings for 1440p gameplay but you’d be better off sticking at 1080p with the GTX 1080 Ti where you can still enjoy the HD gameplay.
What settings can you run Starfield with GTX 1080 Ti?
We can’t know for sure what the exact settings will be with the GTX 1080 Ti. But let’s say that the minimum requirements are being generous and you can play in 1080p at Ultra at 60fps. If this is the case, with the GTX 1080 Ti, you should hopefully be able to hit 30-40fps with ease.
