XCOM: Enemy Unknown Plus, a handheld port of the 2012 sci-fi strategy game, is now available to download on PS Vita.

The game, which is available from PlayStation Store for £15.99, has never been officially announced by publisher 2K Games, but was rated by the American ratings board ESRB late last year, prompting rumours of its release.

It isn’t yet clear how the game differs from the original version, but you should probably expect it to play similarly to the version released on mobile back in 2013. You’ll need 2.2GB to download it.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown sees players leading a squad of soldiers against an alien invasion and was well-received by both fans and critics at launch. The original game scored 9/10 in our review, with our reviewer praising it for its “rich atmosphere” and “tense and tactical missions”.

XCOM 2 arrived on PC last month.
