Impressive sales figures for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has helped the 3DS to outsell the PSP for the first time in twelve weeks.

Depending on which chart you go by, Zelda was either the best, or second-best selling game in Japan last week – with the other title being Level 5’s Little Battle Experience.

According to Media Create’s figures, Zelda has sold 164,110 units, while Little Battle Experience has shifted 166,187. Famitsu, however, has the two games in reversed positions.

The 3DS has clearly benefited from the duo, as hardware sales soared from last week’s 24,649 units to 40,649. In contrast, the PSP saw a slightly less impressive boost of 26,681 units to 31,741.
