Yoshinori Ono, Capcom producer behind the Street Fighter series, has tweeted to say that he’s having a break from work, but will think about “the new future of fighting game after this”.

Tweeting today, Ono began by apologising for making people worry about his health.

“I caused u so much worry for a while.I went back to work.SFteam’re working wholeheartedly on patches forSFxTK,plz wait just a little longer,” said Ono. “I apologize for that. And Thanks for a lot of get-well message!”

“I’ll refrain from work for current job for a while. Another person in charge of SF series for a while.Of course I’ll constant support to it.”

It was his last tweet that will get people excited, though:

“I’ll be out of the limelight as fighting game series for a while. I’ll think about the new future of fighting game after this. ;D”

How long Capcom’s fighting game legend will be out of the limelight remains to be seen. We wish him all the best and can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.
