In a tweet from Yoshinori Ono posted yesterday, the Street Fighter producer cleared up any rumour or speculation of a forthcoming, new entry in the series.
Ono said, ‘I don't have SF6… Who ever said so? Our mind is only in one place, #SFVAE work!’ Which is a pretty definitive statement, if you ask me. It will obviously come some day, but don’t hold your breath for any upcoming reveal.

Earlier this month, Ono also showed off exclusive artwork for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, and in June he stated that Capcom will announce news for the game next month. Although the game isn’t headlining EVO 2019, having lost out to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it’s speculated that the announcement – whatever it may be – will be made on the event’s final day, August 4.
We thought Street Fighter V was smashing, but a lot of the fans weren’t quite as hot on it. Its launch was a shaky one. However, Capcom has been working hard to fix everything in the past few years, and by the sounds of it, they won’t be stopping.
