Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter World has topped 11 million shipments and digital sales worldwide.

It's another big milestone for the beastly adventurer, which launched in January last year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release following a few months later. The game hit record-breaking numbers at launch, becoming Capcom's fastest-selling title ever.

The publisher is planning to launch a dedicated expansion for Monster Hunter World this autumn, so it's obviously not done with the game just yet.

Beyond that, Paul W.S. Anderson is making a Monster Hunter movie, although given what he did to Resident Evil, I'm dreading the outcome.
