Creating your loadout in a shooter is a very personal experience. While many turn to content creators and publications to find out what are the best and worst weapons and items in a game, it isn’t a guarantee that you will like it dislike them. XDefiant is no different and it has many different weapons and add-ons to make a weapon work for you. But, many players aren’t a fan of the choice of Optics in the game.

U/-ZhongKui took to Reddit to discuss the Iron Sights/Optics weapon add-on calling them “terrible.” Many players agreed with this, including u/NupeKeem who said “I 1000% agree with this. I honestly find it hard for me to see the red dots within the game. I have been playing with my display setting to find the ideal setting. Not too dark but not too bright and ideal for all games I play.”

U/EnergeticSloth55 recommended the Reflex sight, which could be a great option for those who are struggling with finding the perfect Optic saying “I use the MP7 and the P90 Iron Sights. Everything else gets a Reflex thrown on it.”

Finding out what works for you is key and there will be many players that enjoy using the default Iron Sight and others that use Optics such as Holo and Scopes. With dozens of weapons to choose from across multiple types, it is best to experiment with every weapon as you unlock them and see what works for you. For example, just because one player might be able to take down every enemy they encounter with the P90, it doesn’t mean that you will have the same success and may get better results from a different weapon. To help you figure out the right path for you we highly recommend checking out our XDefiant beginners tips and tricks guide, as well as our list of the best weapons in the game.
