Ubisoft’s multiplayer shooter XDefiant is to get an Open Beta next week, the platform holder has announced.

During the Ubisoft Forward, the news was announced that anyone will be able to download and play this latest beta, with no invite or prerequisite required. It’ll only be a short beta – lasting from June 21 to June 23, but will include a raft of changes made from the game’s recent closed beta a few months ago that proved very popular indeed.

The announcement came alongside the information that the full game is intending to launch later this summer, and the first year will include four new factions, 12 new weapons and 12 new maps. In fact, that’ll be a new map every month and each will be “inspired” by an Ubisoft world.
