The expansion features around 12 hours of gameplay, where the player takes control of a military man who makes a visit to the base featured in DOOM 3. Activision has not confirmed the release but has said to “stay tuned,” with an official announcement expected at QaukeCon.

Resurrection of Evil features new weapons including the double-barrelled shot gun and a Grabber Gun, which can ‘grab’ and redirect large projectiles in a similar way to the Grav Gun in Half Life 2. New monsters and game environments are also featured.

While this is great news, we were quietly hoping that there would be a Doom 3 bumper release for the Xbox 360 that would include the expansion and offer visuals to match the game running on an ultra high-end PC. Still, an Xbox port will suffice.
