Xbox One will release in the US after November 8, a Microsoft source has told Kotaku.

The source claims the November 8 date mentioned in an email correspondence is incorrect, with the console actually set to arrive at a later date.

The source didn’t offer any further details, but this does narrow down the launch window to some point after November 8, but before November 30.

Sony’s PS4 releases on November 15, meaning Microsoft may be looking at launching on the same date or possibly a week later on November 22.

In the UK the PS4 arrives on November 29, meaning a November 22 date for Xbox One would give it a one week head start.

Anybody looking for a day one PS4 or Xbox One is fast running out of options, with GAME reporting yesterday that it has sold out of its launch allocation of Xbox One units.
