Update 2 – 19/02/2014:The controller is now available to pre-order from GAME again, but at a higher price of £54.99. Customers who pre-order after February 18 won’t receive the controller until April, the retailer warns.
“If you previously pre-ordered the controller during the first batch, you were given a special reduced price, which still stands,” said GAME while attempting to explain the price difference. “The controller is now being sold at actual RRP. Sorry for any confusion caused.”
Update – 18/02/2014: The controller will back to pre-order at Game.co.uk from tomorrow, GAME has announced.
Original story – 17/01/2014: The Xbox One Limited Edition Titanfall controller has sold out of its initial online allocation at GAME, the retailer has announced.
“We saw a Titan-sized demand for the Limited Edition Xbox One pad and have now sold through our initial allocation online,” the firm Tweeted.
The £44.99 controller was designed in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and was only available to purchase via GAME in the UK.
Nevertheless, expect some stock of the controller to arrive in stores in time for the game’s launch on March 14.
