The first 100 backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles will be announced next Monday, November 9, Microsoft has confirmed.

The list is expected to include every game compatible with the service at launch, which goes live to the public days later on November 12. Backwards compatibility will be available to all Xbox One users at no additional charge, allowing them to play supported Xbox 360 titles directly on the console.

Digital and physical games are both supported.

23 games are currently available to test in Preview, including the original Gears of War, Perfect Dark and Mass Effect. Expect those to go live alongside the rest of the launch line-up next Thursday, alongside current Xbox 360 Games with Gold title DiRT 3.

Fallout 3, Burnout Paradise, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 and Just Cause 2 are also expected to be compatible in the future.
