Xbox has revealed the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the second half of October, and it’s celebrating Halloween with a number of appropriately themed games.

It’s quite a mix of games old and new – and away from the scares, there’s also one of the most celebrated JRPGs of recent years finally making its way to Xbox.

Xbox Game Pass late October 2022 games

First off is today’s release of A Plague Tale: Requiem. The sequel is launching day one on the service, and is available on Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review here.

October 20 brings four more games – including the complete Amnesia series. First off The Amnesia Collection includes the first three tiles – The Dark Descent, A Machine for Pigs and Justine. Then there’s the newest title Amnesia: Rebirth as a separate game. Both are on Cloud, Console and PC.

Joining them is asynchronous multiplayer game Phantom Abyss – which is on Cloud, PC and Xbox Series X|S – and another horror title in the form of psychological thriller SOMA from the same makers as Amnesia.

Persona 5 Royal makes its Xbox debut on October 21. The JRPG has won legions of fans and plaudits, and you’ll get to join Joker and the Phantom Thieves in this expanded release on Cloud, Console and PC.

Three more games round things off on October 27 – starting with Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery on PC. Gunfire Reborn joins it on Cloud, Console and PC and features FPS action, roguelite elements and some RPG flavour thrown into the mix too.

Finally, Signalis has you exploring a surreal retrotech world in search of a missing partner. Things soon get scary, as this cosmic dread psychological horror continues on Cloud, Console and PC.

Xbox Game Pass late October 2022 – what’s leaving Game Pass?

Alas, the arrival of new games means the departure of others, and this month is no different. You’ve got until October 31 when the creatures of the night come to take these games away forever. (And by that we mean Xbox remove them from the Game Pass service.)

You’ll still be able to save an extra 20% if you want to buy these off the marketplace and save them from their fate, of course.
